The move is an expensive endeavor and it could very well turn out to be a smart move on Playboy’s part.

Shipping out high-end box mods and a handful of sub-ohm tanks and several packs of coilheads is not to be taken lightly.

I recommend the Sigelei 150 to more advanced vapers who are looking to run their own custom sub-ohm builds and produce thick clouds of vapor without having to worry about battery life. Overall, the Sigelei 150w is a superb, high powered PV which can satisfy even the most hardcore power users. Although you can’t use the Siglei while charging the batteries, you can always purchase a spare set and swap batteries (which is a great idea for times when you plan on being away from a charger for an extended period of time, like camping!). li-ion, ni-cd, LiFePO4) and charges it accordingly. Personally, I use a Nitecore Intellicharger to charge my batteries as its a smart charger which automatically detects the type of battery inserted (eg. There’s no charge ports on the Sigelei, instead you need to take out the batteries and insert them into a dedicated charger.

Low resistance subohm coils generally require much higher batteries wattages compared to regular materials, so for best results I recommend using Sony VTC 5 high amp batteries (make sure you insert them in the proper direction)! The Sigelei’s battery casing is held on via a series of four small magnets, and I find that they do a great job of keeping the casing securely in place while still making it easy to remove the batteries for charging. Also, always make sure to check that your batteries are a high enough wattage to use with your desired coils. If you’re thinking about purchasing a Sigelei 150 Watt PV, keep in mind that you’ll need some 18650 sized batteries. Personally, I rarely go above 40 watts while vaping (higher wattages for custom built dripper coils), but the unit can definitely handle the higher wattages as long as you’re using proper batteries. Aside from the Atlantis, I’ve also heard great things from friends who have been using the Siglei in combination with the Lemo, but I haven’t tried it yet myself. One thing I noticed is that the large form factor of the unit allows larger tanks and drippers to sit nicely on the base without much overhang. With a high VG liquid, the vapor was very thick and the batteries lasted well over a day of heavy vaping. After popping in some batteries, I attached an Aspire Atlantis and set the power to 28 watts. The one downside to the firmness however, is that operating the unit can be difficult for those who suffer from arthritic pain (normal users on the other hand shouldn’t have any issues with the firmness). The buttons are firm, and although I haven’t had the unit for that long, I do feel like they’ll continue to remain firm as the button reminds of the famous buckling spring keyboard design and clicks when pressed. Although the 150 watt is larger than most box mods on the market, I don’t find the unit to be overly large or awkward to hold, especially given how much wattage the device is packing. Size wise, the Siglei 150 is larger than the iStick 50 Watt and is roughly the dimensions of a Nexus 5 phone (but quite a bit thicker). Like most modern PVs, it has an OLED screen as well as a feature to automatically detect the resistance and ideal settings to use (this only works with kanthal coils, low resistance nichrome needs to be manually set). The box itself is made of aluminum, and the Sigelei uses a 510 spring loaded connector which can handle atomizers with resistances ranging from 0.1 ohms - 3 ohms.
Inside my Sigelei150 Watt kit I found the following itemsĪfter unboxing my unit, I took a look a look at the unit and the overall build quality appears to be high.

Earlier this week I finally got a chance to fully test and review the Sigelei 150 Watt! The Sigelei 150 Watt is a highly popular box mod personal vaporizer (PV) known for its magnetic battery casing, quality design, and who could forget its incredibly high power output!
